Green Monkey, Europe’s first carbonated cannabinoid (CBD) drink, has launched into Bestway stores across the UK.
The Birmingham based company has struck a deal that will see its 250ml, fruit flavoured drink (rrp 2.29), complete with 10mg of pure, high-quality CBD oil, listed in every Bestway store by the end of July.
Commenting on the listings, Serge Davies, ceo of Green Monkey, said: “Bestway are at the cutting edge of the UK convenience scene and by having them list our product we can see a faith in this brand new category. They have been forward thinking and realised that the market is beginning to demand more wellbeing led products to add to their existing lines.
“With this deal we feel that more and more convenience store operators and owners will see the benefits of increasing their health and wellbeing ranges. This is hopefully only the start of our relationship with Bestway and we look forward to hearing the feedback from the end customers as well as stockists themselves.”
Davies added: “The product itself is very on trend at the moment as people seek something different. As well as creating brand new category in the drinks section, Green Monkey is value accretive, offers engaging branding for the shelves and will hopefully bring new customers into stores”.
Green Monkey are also investing in a large marketing push this year, spending more than £12m on digital advertising to drive sales and increase awareness of the CBD category.
